Current Job Positions

We are seeking a high energy, creative, Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team of data scientists, economists, and software engineers to develop cutting edge analytics and predictive analytics in digital agriculture. The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading commercial software development efforts and authority over both Front and Back End development. Primary activities will involve web programming and development, leading software development efforts, writing requirements, enforcing workflows on the software development team, working with contractors and designers to develop and implement solutions and interfaces, reviewing and assessing product requirements, and database and server management, among other tasks as assigned.

There will be a focus on the development and maintenance of our Ag IoT platform, AI/ML modeling pipelines, mobile and web apps, including building highly scalable, distributed services that can run in public, private and/or hybrid cloud infrastructures, and testing and deploying web solutions in collaboration with our data scientists and researchers. Building on our existing platform, you will design and build out web-based data management and modeling tools, creating easy-to-use interfaces for user-driven data analysis and visualization, working closely with contracted designers and our other on-site developers. You will work closely with our research team and web developers to manage projects efforts and develop advanced analytical tools to leverage a wide variety of environmental, market, and other data, and integrate those into our agricultural data warehousing and automation system, and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements
  • • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar and more than 3 years post grad experience or equivalent. Masters or PhD in computer science preferred.
  • • Experience in cloud software development: designing, developing & debugging scalable solutions maintaining and developing web applications, data resources, and analytical tools for end-users.
  • • Extensive experience in building commercial applications and leading web development and programming teams preferably with experience using .NET/C# (and all the regulars including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and Python). Experience with machine learning and GIS/geospatial applications is a plus. GitHub a must.
  • • Ability to design, code, test, debug, and develop tools and documentation, and maintain complex programs, systems and web applications. Ability to formulate, define system scope and objectives to develop or modify complex software systems.
  • • Ability to organize project teams and direct project activities and document phases of projects. Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
  • • Familiarity with analytical modeling approaches and related software (e.g., MATLAB, R, ArcGIS, Python, etc.) and database management systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) a plus.
  • • Experience with distributed data/computing tools (Spark, Hadoop, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • • Familiarity with geo-spatial and remote sensing data a plus.
  • • Strong interpersonal, organization and project management skills, and ability to work as part of a diverse team and independently, while contributing to a high-quality and respectful work environment.
  • • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to colleagues and end-users.
  • • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Ability to help establish realistic goals and deliver work on schedule.
  • • Previous experience in agricultural or environmental applications is not required but preferred. Familiarity with insurance, finance, and risk management applications a plus.
  • • Self-starter with ability to work creatively to solve problems and identify opportunities as they arise.
  • • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • • A willingness and ability to learn new modeling and programming skills in a multi-disciplinary setting is a must.
  • • Experience with machine learning techniques (e.g., artificial neural networks, etc.) in real-world applications and knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, spatial statistics) and experience with applications a big plus.
We are seeking machine learning and AI engineers to join our team at to develop cutting edge analytics and predictive analytics in digital agriculture. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in the deployment and training of modern machine learning and AI applications, including working with Geospatial data. Must have experience and be capable of training and deploying machine learning models on cloud infrastructure with little or no guidance.
